Clean and Simple Circles
Hi! Today’s card if for yesterday’s clean and simple challenge on splitcoast. The challenge was to use colors like Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery and Pumpkin Pie. I really wanted to make a card that did not use flowers since I tend to make quite a few cards like that! I decided to use Circle Circus which I don’t use all that much. I had seen a card like this on splitcoast, so I decided to CASE it because I thought it would be a quick and easy card to make. It was! I just stamped one of the circles from the set in the 3 colors and punched them on with a 1 1/4 circle punch and adhered them to a 5 x 5 square card. Then just added a birthday sentiment. Pretty simple! I hope you enjoy.

Another Friends Never Fade
Hi! This just feels like it has been a really long week. I have a ½ day at work tomorrow and I can’t wait to be home and relax this weekend. I don’t really think we have too much going on. On to today’s card, it’s another one I did using Friends Never Fade. I promise to show something next week not using this set. :) I went a little crazy with it when I got it. Anyway, I stamped the image in Baja Breeze twice. On the second image I cut out the flower and the “friends” portion and put them on dimensionals. The center of the flower has some dazzling diamonds. The background paper is from the Greenhouse Gala dsp adhered to Crumb Cake cardstock with a strip of Baja Breeze. Then I just added a Chocolate Chip bow. A pretty easy card to do. Have a good day!

Wedding Ensemble
Hello. Today I’m sharing more details of the wedding ensemble that I did for the Tour de Freaks blog tour. There are quite a few pictures today. For the ensemble I made an invite, rsvp card, menu, program and thank you card.
The invite uses 2 of the stamps from Friends Never Fade. I used the swirl flower stamp on the Daffodil Delight background. Then I added a Tangerine Tango layer followed by the actual invite. I stamped the flowers in Daffodil Delight and the stems (from Petal Pizazz) in Old Olive. I used a sponge dauber to add Early Espresso to the centers of the flowers. I also added some shading to the flowers with Tangerine Tango. I used my blender pen, dabbed it into the Tangerine Tango ink and colored in some shading. Its very simple to do and gives it a nice effect.
Next is the RSVP card using the same shading technique.
Then we have the menu, thank you card and program. I did not do the shading on these items. For the program I used a piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock and added Tangerine Tango flowers instead. (I did make a typo on the word “invocation” on the program….I didn’t use my spell check beforehand). The program is held together with the new Daffodil Delight ribbon.
I had a lot of fun making these wedding items. I’m not sure yet if I’m going to use this design for my own invites but it’s a nice sample to show any of my engaged friends who are looking for invites. :)

Blog Tour - New Catalog products
Welcome to the June 2010 Blog Tour! If you've just arrived from Melanie Schulenberg's blog, you've come to the right place! But don't worry, if you have started here, it will be possible to go completely to the end and arrive back here after going to the beginning of the tour!
This is the first tour I've taken part in and I'm really excited to share my projects with you. This month's tour focuses on products from the new catalog, which will be debuting in July!
My first project is a card using Friends Never Fade and the new Greenhouse Gala DSP. I am in love with this set. (Actually, any set with flowers I'm in love with!) I stamped the flowers 2 times in Baja Breeze and the 3rd flower is a second generation flower (stamped again with out cleaning it). For each flower I did a little bit of shading with the blender pen just dabbed onto the ink pad. I think the little bit of shading adds a lot to the flowers.Colors are listed below the card.
Stamps: Friends Never Fade, Petal Pizazz (stems); Inks: Baja Breeze, Basic Gray, Pacific Point, Soft Suede, Certainly Celery; Cardstock: Greenhouse Gala, Certainly Celery, Soft Suede, Whisper White; Accessories: Certainly Celery grosgrain ribbon, crystal effects, blender pen
Moving on, my second project is a bit more simple. Again, I used the same set and all new colors. I stamped the flowers, cut them out and cut out the centers separately too. The sentiment is part of another image from the set that I just cut apart.
Stamps: Friends Never Fade; Inks: Marina Mist, Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi, Early Espresso; Cardstock: Early Espresso, Whisper White; Accessories: twine, Top Note Die
My final project is a wedding ensemble. I have wedding on the brain constantly with my coming up in 4 months...Ahhhh! So I thought it would be fun to come up with an ensemble using...you guessed it... Friends Never Fade. This ensemble includes the invite, rsvp, a menu, a program and a thank you card. In the next day or 2, I'll showcase each part separately with some more details.
Stamps: Friends Never Fade, Petal Pizazz (stems); Inks: Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango, Early Espresso, Old Olive; Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango, Whisper White; Accessories: Daffodil Delight taffeta ribbon, blender pen
Well there you have it. I hope you enjoyed everything. Next up is Patty Bennet's blog, with more great projects!

Friday Friends
Happy Friday! I hope you don’t get bored with this set but I have another card using Friends Never Fade. (There will also be a couple more projects over the weekend with this set). I also used the new Greenhouse Gala dsp. The image was stamped in Cherry Cobbler on very vanilla cardstock. I then stamped the image again in Pumpkin Pie and cut out the flower. Then I just added some 1 1/4 striped grosgrain ribbon in pumpkin pie. This was a fairly simple card and would look great in other colors.
I hope you have a good weekend and don’t forget to come back on Sunday for the Tour de Freaks Blog Tour.

Another Sneak Peek - Friends Never Fade
Hello! Today’s card is another sneak peek from Friends Never Fade. I used a different image from the set. I stamped the main image in Rich Razzleberry and outlined the edge in dazzling diamonds. The bottom portion is another image from the set that I stamped in black on Basic Gray cardstock. I repeated stamping the image to get a look similar to the DSP. The DSP is something new in the catalog called Greenhouse Gala. The colors of this paper are so fun and summery. I will have a few more cards in the coming days with this paper. And to finish the card I added some Certainly Celery satin ribbon.
I will be back tomorrow with some more eye candy. And be sure to stop by on Sunday where I’ll be showcasing my Tour de Freaks Blog Tour projects.
Blog Tour - June 20th!!

Because I Care - Sneak Peek
Hi! Today’s card is from yesterday’s color challenge on splitcoast. The colors were Mellow Moss, Barely Banana and Real Red. I don’t think I’ve ever used Mellow Moss before. I feel like my card ended up looking kind of Christmas like. I guess I could always switch out the sentiment and use it as a Christmas card. The flower is from the new hostess set called Because I Care. I stamped the flower and colored it in with a Barely Banana marker. The leaves are colored with Mellow Moss chalk. I stamped the flower image in versamark on the Mellow Moss background. I also added 2 rhinestones to the sentiment piece. I actually just colored regular rhinestones with a red marker to make them match a little bit more. That’s it for me today. I’ll be back tomorrow with another sneak peek card.

Sneak Peek - Friends Never Fade
Hello! I received some new goodies the other day and I finally got around to making some cards with them. You will probably see a few cards this week using the new set Friends Never Fade. This layout was inspired by Nichole Heady again. I just love the layouts of her cards. I used the flower from the set and stamped it 3 times in Cherry Cobbler, Pink Pirouette and Melon Mambo. I punched them out with a square punch then layered them on a strip of white cardstock. The white strip was then layered on a piece of Melon Mambo. I used sticky strip in between the flowers and added dazzling diamonds. The strip was adhered to a piece of pink pirouette that was attached to early espresso. The sentiment is from Watercolor Trio stamped in early espresso. Lots of new colors on this card. Enjoy!

New Colors
Happy Friday! It’s been a while but I’m back. I was on vacation for a few days and when I got back I was really busy. Then this past week I’ve been wanting to make some cards but I’ve just had no ideas whatsoever. I’ve been lacking in the creative department. I decided to make a card for yesterday’s challenge on splitcoast. It was to use bugs, butterflies, etc. I’m not totally happy with this card but hopefully I’ll get back into the groove of things soon. I used all new colors on this card..Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Cajun Craze and Daffodil Delight. I used Flight of the Butterfly, On Your Birthday and Watercolor Trio. I stamped the leaves in Cajun Craze from Watercolor Trio on the Cajun Craze cardstock. The butterflies are adhered to a piece of Crumb Cake that I made into a tag. I added a strip of dazzling diamonds to the bottom along with a ruffled ribbon edge. The sentiment is punched using the modern label punch.
I hope everyone has a good weekend. Maybe my mojo will kick in this weekend and I’ll get some cards flowing.
