Howl-o-Ween Skull!
Hello! It's been a long time since I posted a card. I have no idea what happened but the summer just flew on by! In the blink of an eye it was gone. For much of July I was working on decorations for my daughter's first birthday in August (which I will share soon). How did that happen???? Then the party came and went. I had to travel for work and ended up getting stuck for an extra day and then the next thing I know it was time for our vacation at the end of the summer. So that is basically where my summer went and why there was not much crafting going on. But I do finally have a card to share today. There are lots of new goodies on here! The Holiday catalog is fabulous this year! There are so many things that I want but I tried to limit myself a little. I just had to get the Howl-o-Ween set because I loved that owl. Although my first card with the set doesn't use the owl. :) I think this card is just as cute too. How can you not love that skeleton face with the awesome black glimmer paper behind it! The framelits to cut out the face and bones make things so much easier. I love that there are so many coordinating bundles in the catalog. And then can we talk about that embossed background. I see so many uses for the Woodland textured embossing folder. It can be used all year long! And probably my most favorite items on the this card are the black glimmer paper and the spider web doily. I love all of the glimmer paper and the black is just fantastic!
I hope you enjoyed today's card. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the new catalog as well. What are your favorites? What are you interested in me showcasing on my blog! Let me know!
Have a great day!

You've Got This
Happy Friday! I have a short post and a quick card for you today. This card is the make and take that we did at my New Catalog open house back in June. I LOVE this flower from the set. Unfortunately I haven't had as much time to play with as I would like. One day extra time will appear and I will be able to craft the days away!! One can be hopeful right?!?! Anyway, I wanted to show that you can make a really simple but stunning card with this set. I stamped the large background in Mint Macaroon and then stamped the flower in Tip Top Taupe. The sentiment is from And Many More. I really like the new washi label punch. It still doesn't replace my beloved modern label punch but it's the perfect size for those smaller sentiments. I then stapled the pink pirouette piece onto the deco label. I used a nice piece of DSP, adding a little lace ribbon and that's it! This layout would be cute in other color options with different DSP in the background. Maybe I will try to make a couple more over the weekend. I have to get back into the craft cave this weekend to get ready for a workshop next week. I will post those make and take cards next week. I have some cute ideas in my head so I hope they turn out good!
Have a nice weekend!

Dino-Rrific!
Happy Friday! I hope everyone had a great week. I was in Indianapolis for a few days for work. It was a good trip but I missed my little guys. Luckily they were well behaved for dad. Today's card is one that I made for a birthday party we had a couple of weeks ago. My son had his first friend birthday party from school so I thought this set was the perfect one to use. As soon as I saw this set in the catalog I knew I was going to get it and hopefully use it quite a bit. It is so cute! I just love those dinos! Everything on this card is new except for the starburst framelits. (Boo, so sad they are gone). You could easily just use another circle cut out behind the one with the dinosaurs. The colors I used for the dinos were Tangelo Twist and Cucumber Crush. The leaves were also stamped in Cucumber Crush. I stamped them once on scrap paper and then onto the circle so they were not as bright. The rest of the card is pretty self explanatory. One thing to note is that I did stamp the sentiment 3 separate times in 3 colors and then punched the ends of the white strip with the banner punch.
Have a great weekend!

Watercolor Wings Treat Bag
Hello! It's been a while. Those kids keep my craft time limited. :) But I've been able to squeeze in some time for a few cards. I got my order from the new catalog and I just had to play! Today's card features Watercolor Wings. This set was not on my first list of things I wanted from the catalog since I already had the other butterfly die and didn't think I needed another set. Well I was wrong! I LOVE this set! The different color combinations you can make with the butterflies is so fun. I haven't had a chance to play with it to much but I can already tell it will probably be a go to set. The butterfly on today's project features Pool Party, Bermuda Bay and Island Indigo. Ahhh such pretty blues. I also used the super cute mini treat bag (LOVE this too!). I made the treat bag with Bermuda Bay cardstock. The rest of the outside is finished with a doily, pink sequins and some Dazzling Diamonds glitter hearts. The sentiment is from the set and it's stamped on Watermelon Wonder cardstock. Inside the treat bag I used the new heavy weight white cardstock. This way it was nice and thick for the tea bag to be adhered to. I stamped the smaller butterfly in the corner with the same colors. And at the top I just stapled a Dazzling Diamond glitter banner. So cute! So what are your favorites from the new catalog? I would love to hear your favorites!
I am traveling for work this week so I'm not sure if I will have a chance to update again. I do have a couple more cards to share so I may try to schedule a post for later this week. The next card I want to share is super cute. RAWR! :)
Have a great day!

More Sprinkles of Life
Happy Friday! I'm excited to share another card with you today. I am really having fun with this new set. I can't wait to show you a card that doesn't use the cupcake or ice cream that's in the set. Hopefully this weekend, I will have time to play a little more. I love how this card came out. It's so cute. I decided to make it a square card (4 1/4 x 4 1/4). I was inspired by the card seen {HERE}. I used lots of new goodies on this card. The green cardstock is the new Cucumber Crush. This is a nice bright green color. I imagine this will look great with Christmas cards. I also used some of the DSP from the Cherry on Top paper stack. Aren't those dots super cute! The yellow DSP behind it is also from the paper stack. I stamped the cupcake in Pool Party and Tip Top Taupe. I think this color will be my new go to neutral color. I also stamped the candle and colored it in with the Watermelon Wonder and Delightful Dijon markers. I added some sparkle to the candle flame and the cupcake. It's a little hard to see that in the photo. For the circle behind the cupcake, I added some doodles with the Project life pen. I felt like it needed a little something and the doodles definitely helped. The sentiment was stamped on vellum paper. Two little sequins on the end help to hide the dimensionals adhering it to the card. :)
I hope everyone has a great weekend. We will be working on the living room again. We are getting down to the end of finishing up the work in there. We need to decide if we want to get the floors refinished (they need it bad) but that's obviously more money and more work involved. It would however really finish it off. Then we will need a new couch and rug. I cannot wait to get those! I will share some before and after pics on here once it's near completion. But it's already looking so much better than where we started.
Please let me know what you think of this new set so far! I would love to hear your thoughts! Enjoy!
Supplies:
Stamps: Sprinkles of Life
Paper: Cucumber Crush, Tip Top Taupe, Cherry on Top DSP paper stack

Sneak Peek - Sprinkles of Life
Hello there! I have a sneak peek of new goodies to share today. I was actually able to get a card made yesterday. It took me a little while since I only had time to do bits and pieces here and there but I'll take it! I have a complete card to share so that's all that matters, haha! I used the new Sprinkles of Life set which is the Ronald McDonald House Charity set. Three dollars of each set go to the charity. There is one of these in every catalog and this year it is super cute! There is also a matching punch for the ice cream scoops! Wait until you see the whole set, there is so much more than just the ice cream! But for today's card I went with a birthday theme. I stamped the ice cream in Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink and the new Watermelon Wonder. The ice cream cone was stamped with the new Tip Top Taupe (this is a great color). The DSP is also new. It's from a 6 x 6 pack called Cherry on Top. The papers in here are adorable. They are great for birthday cards or really any card where you want to add some fun bright colors. The hello is from the Four You stamp set and the Happy Birthday underneath is from Sprinkles of Life. I stamped these in versamark first, then Watermelon Wonder and heat embossed it. I also added Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper and a button with twine.
I have ideas spinning in my head for a few more cards with this set, so stay tuned. I am also offering a card class during the month of July with this set. I will share more details once I complete the projects for it.
Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your day!

Mother's Day cards
Happy Monday! Long time no see. I was on such a roll for a while there and then I just lost my motivation. I have new goodies tomorrow so hopefully that will inspire me! Also, we've been working on redoing our living room, painting, etc. so that has cut into a lot of our time. If I'm not working on that, then I'm doing our household stuff that has taken a back seat during this time. And after all that I'm too tired to craft. So we're in the home stretch of the living room project and now I have new goodies coming so I HAVE to make some play time!
Today's cards are cards that I made for my mom and mother-in-law for mother's day. I was inspired by this week's TGIF Challenge. {HERE} I did tweak the sketch a little bit, but that's the fun in these challenges. You can put your own twist on it.
I used the Indescribable Gift set for these cards. I wanted to do some watercoloring so I stamped the flower image on watercolor paper and went to town. I used Blackberry Bliss ink as well as Mossy Meadow and Soft Suede. Then for the background I just messily (is that a word?) added Coastal Cabana ink. I will miss this color so much when it's gone! You guys better stock up now on this color while you can. Also, this stamp set will be retiring too by the beginning of June. It's so good for coloring or just stamping it for the background which I did on the Soft Sky piece. The sentiment is from And Many More. The finishing touches were some baker's twine with a button and some gold glitter in the middle of the flowers. I love the watercolor look and how something can still look so pretty when it's not perfectly colored in the lines. Watercolor gives you that ability to be more free with your coloring and I think that is so fun.
So since I've been enjoying watercoloring lately, I am going to be offering a Watercolor class over the summer. I am having an Open House for the new catalog on June 11th where I will have the catalog, samples, new product and my class list. Now that the baby is getting bigger and I'm getting a little more of my time back, I'm getting back into offering more classes. Once I have more details on the classes I will post information here on the blog. Feel free to contact me to join my class (if you are in the NJ area) or I can come to you to have a class.
And speaking of my baby getting bigger :( Here is her 9 month photo from this weekend. I can't believe she's 9 months. Time is really just flying by this second time around!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

Four Feathers and Last Day for Free Shipping!
TGIF!!! It's Friday and today is the last day you can get Free Shipping from Stampin' Up! Don't let this great opportunity slip on by. Also, I am throwing in a free gift to those of you who place an online order of $30 or more using the Hostess Code GA49SVJP. You must place your order by 5pm today to get the free gift from me.
Today's card is one that I made a while ago but I don't think I ever shared it here. I used the Four Feathers bundle. I love the look of feathers on cards lately. I need to start making some more cards with this set. With the die cuts available for the feathers it makes making these cards a breeze! I die cut 3 feathers and stamped 2 of them in Blackberry Bliss and Bermuda Bay ink. Love these colors together! On the side of the white cardstock I stamped the dot image from Painted Petals in Sahara Sand ink. I just stamped the image several times without re-inking to get the faded look. For the finishing touch I added lots of trim - Bermuda Bay sequins, Blackberry Bliss ribbon and Sahara Sand lace. Then I added staples to the end of the sequin trim to keep it in place and to just add one more little element. The Handheld stapler is so cute too! Well that's it from me today. I hope everyone has a nice weekend!!

Last Day for Sale-a-Bration!
Today is the last day for Sale-a-bration so I wanted to share my birthday cards that I made for a workshop 2 weeks ago. I used the Big Day Stamp Set from SAB and the Birthday Bash DSP from the Occasions catalog. This is such a fun stamp set. You can make so many cute birthday cards with it. It was fun to color in this set too. At the workshop we made the 2 cards in the back. The ladies had a great time making these cards. I don't have close ups of the individual cards right now (they are on my camera, these were taken with my phone), so I will have to come back and post the individual cards later. But in the meantime, you can get inspiration from these cards to make your own birthday cards. But you have to act now to get this stamp set, after today it will no longer be available. If you order $50 of product you can get this set for FREE!! Stock up on some DSP, buttons, sequins and the super cute bow builder punch. I didn't think I needed that punch until I got it. It is so stinkin cute! You will love it. That's it from me today. If you want to place an SAB order or set up a workshop of your own, please contact me!
Have a great Tuesday!

Mini Treat Bag Easter cards
Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend. We went to see the Easter bunny yesterday and it was not quite so successful. I did get a picture with both kids and the easter bunny but they were not too happy about it, haha! My son was excited to see the easter bunny until it was time to take the picture. Then he got scared and didn't want to go up there. I was able to get him to sit there. And since I was so focused on getting him to stay in the picture I wasn't able to make faces at my daughter to make her laugh. Even though the picture was less than successful, I still bought it anyway, haha! It was their first holiday picture together (their Santa picture was not great either) so I wanted to have a memory of it. Hopefully next year will be a little better. It was funny, as soon as the picture was done my son went running to my husband and with a smile on his face said "I saw the easter bunny". At least he didn't seem traumatized from it!
For your Monday entertainment:
Now on to today's crafty goodies. These are the Easter cards I was talking about in my post last week. I'm excited with how they came out. There are a couple of things that I could tweak and fix but since these are for my son and my 7 month old niece, I'm not fixing it - they won't notice! My idea was that I wanted to make cute little bunnies and then pull them out from the mini treat bags. And it worked. The tutorial for the bunny I found on pinterest. (You can follow me on Pinterest - I pin LOTS of things)! The bunny was made with the oval framelits, small oval punch and the owl punch (for the eyes and nose). I used the Birthday Bash dsp for the little egg and the Painted Blooms dsp for the bunny ears. I glued all of the pieces of the bunny to the decorative dots embossed cardstock. (I used dimensionals on parts of the bunny). Then I made the mini treat bags. These are so so cute! I love them. Pick up the mini treat framelit die now with 1 or 2 other items while SAB is still going on so you can get a free item!! I loved this when it first came out but wasn't sure how much use I would get out of it. Now that I have it I want to make so many more! I used this the other week for part of my hostess gift for a workshop and filled it with various trims, adorable! I will share those projects this week. Back to the easter cards. After I cut out the treat bags, I stamped them with the circle image from Hello Darling. I thought it added a cute little touch to the bags. For the Pistachio pudding bag, I added some Sahara Sand lace trim (this one will be going to my niece). For both bags, I used one of the dies from the From the Garden bundle and stamped it with "Hippity-Hpppity" from the And Many More set. And then I wrapped twine around the bags. For the bunny cards, I added chevron ribbon so you can pull out the cards from the bags with the ribbon. I may go back and add Happy Easter to the bunny somewhere but I'm not sure yet. Either way, I wanted to share these with you before Easter so you can make your own cute bunny cards!
Reminder: Sale-a-bration ends tomorrow!! If you need any items and want to earn some free products, contact me! I am close to getting an extra bonus so any little bit you can help is surely appreciated!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed these cards!!

Welcome Baby Card - From the Garden
Hello! I have another baby card to share today. Lots of babies all around!! This card is for a friend of ours that just had a baby girl. She was 2.5 weeks early so I had to quickly get my card together! :) I had the From the Garden set on my desk waiting to be used so I decided to try it out for a baby card. I think it came out pretty cute. I love these little flowers from the set. I did color them with Blendabilities just because I still want to use what I bought but these could easily be colored with regular markers. The colors I used were Pink Pirouette, Calypso Coral and Wild Wasabi. The "welcome baby" is from the And Many More set. I thought the sweet as can be from the From the Garden set worked well too. I stamped both of those in Coastal Cabana. Then I added some Wild Wasabi twine and pearls to finish it off. I think this was a good use of this stamp set for something other than gardening/spring. I love the little dies from this set. I have plans to use these dies for my easter cards that I want to make for my son and niece. I have some cute ideas in my head so lets hope they translate to paper well. Do any of you have that problem too? You have all of these fun ideas in your head and when you execute them it just does not turn out how you want it to. I hate when that happens. I go through all of the work to put a card, 3-d object together and it just doesn't look right. Well wish me luck in that my easter cards come out cute so I can post them here! Oh and also wish me luck that I have time to work on them! That seems to be my downfall too. And now we've decided to take on the project of painting our living room. So I feel like I should be spending my brief "free" time doing painting prep when I really want to craft. I hope to sneak some time in this weekend. Well I have to if I want to have Easter cards for next week!! Well I hope you liked today's card and stop back soon for some Easter eye candy!

Baby Shower Card - Twins
Hello everyone! Today I am sharing the baby shower card I made for my friend's shower a couple of weeks ago. She is expecting twins (a boy and girl) so I had to make sure I included that on the card. This card is a hybrid card which uses some elements from My Digital Studio. Side note: I was just informed that MDS will be discontinued after May 31, 2015. While I understand that this was not as profitable, I am sad about it. I used MDS quite a bit to print out images that I didn't have stamps for. Plus I was able to make them any size that I wanted. The little shoes were printed from MDS as well as the sentiment. The Congratulations is from the "And Many More" set. I colored the shoes in with Blendabilities. Sigh, Another side note: These are discontinued as well. There were some manufacturing and quality issues that Stampin' Up! was not able to resolve so they have discontinued this line. I think this one hurts the most. I JUST bought a bunch of these markers and I love the way they color images. I guess I will just have to go back to the old markers or start using my colored pencils again. Anyway, after I colored the shoes I cut them out and added dazzling diamonds to the girl shoes (so cute!). I used the Birthday Bash DSP along with Bermuda Bay cardstock. I wanted to make sure it wasn't too girly or too boyish. And the finishing touches were Calypso Coral chevron ribbon and Bermuda Bay sequin trim. I told you I was going to use these sequins on everything!!! :) I think this card is super cute and I hope my friend liked it!
Thanks for stopping by. I hope to be back later this week with my projects and hostess gift for a workshop this week.

Indescribable Flowers - Wedding Card
Happy Monday! Today I have a card to share with you that I made for a wedding we went to over the weekend. It was nice to get out for the evening without the kids and have a delicious meal. However, I was so tired on Sunday. Staying out late with young ones just does not work anymore! And I was even tired before the wedding considering that the kids were up at 4:30 am on Saturday morning!!!!!! I was able to get a nap in before the wedding but still, I needed way more sleep. I do not understand why my kids do not realize that Mommy LOVES her sleep and needs it to function. But that is a whole other topic that I could complain about all day long, haha! You came here for pretty cards so let's talk about pretty cards instead. I used the invitation as inspiration for my card. I always like to try to match the card to the invitation or theme (if there is one). My first thought when I saw those flowers on the invitation is that I wanted to use the Indescribable Gift set with the Blendabilities. (Note: Blendabilities are currently unavailable at this time due to a manufacturer quality issue). I used the Rich Razzleberry blendies for these flowers but you could easily use the Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Up markers too. I also embossed the flower image with gold ink and clear embossing powder. Everything embossed looks so much nicer, plus it helps with the coloring so your ink doesn't bleed. The sentiment is also embossed. I added 2 pearls, colored with the blendies, to the Label Framelit. I added some Champagne glimmer punched banners for a little extra sparkle. And of course I had to add some gold sequins in there. I can't do a card now without sequins! I need to make a card for a baby shower this weekend and I'm already thinking about how I can add sequins to it, haha!! It's like an addiction at this point! Well stop back later on this week for more inspiration. I have a card that I haven't posted yet and I will have a baby shower card to share at some point in the next week.
