August Swap
Hello! I am back with my swap for August. The theme for August was a color challenge: Night of Navy, Sweet Sugarplum and Soft Sky. I really liked Sweet Sugarplum when it first came out but I’ve struggled to use it. Purple is my jam so I figured this would be my go to but I haven’t used it as much as I would have liked. So since I was the swap host for August, I wanted to use it and see what everyone else could do with it. I received lots of great ideas from the other swappers.
My card features the Jars of Love set again. Since I didn’t really use too many of the flowers from the set for the swap in July, I wanted to use it again. I really love this set and I love how this card came out. It would look great in other colors. I was having fun making these swaps until I cut and stamped my background pieces and THEN realized that I used Pool Party and not Soft Sky, haha! It really wasn’t that big of a deal to fix it but sometimes I’m on limited time in my craft room while the kids are playing so I need to be efficient and that wasn’t helping. Oh well! One thing to note is that the one image from the flower was stamped off on paper before stamping it on the cardstock to make it a little lighter. Another thing I love about this card are those cute little enamel shape embellishments and the staple. They are so simple but such a cute touch!
I hope you are enjoying seeing my swaps each month. I would love for you to play along and make some cards using the different themes.
Have a nice day!
