Now let's get to the fun stuff!! All of the great projects you can make with this set.
So right now I do not have any holiday DSP or holiday embellishments but don't let that stop you from getting a head start on holiday cards. There are so many great DSP options available in our other packs plus lots of ribbons in the annual catalog that you can find something to use for your holiday cards. I have 4 cards today that showcase your everyday DSP as holiday DSP.
First up, I'll show you the cards you can make with the Coffee Break DSP.
To me this paper screams Christmas. I thought this was perfect for this set. The rest of the card is fairly simple, which is good for holiday cards. I stamped the sentiment on vellum cardstock. Then I stamped 2 poinsettias, a few leaves and cut them out. (I used the die cuts for the leaves). The final touch was some mini sequin trim and a linen thread bow.
Here is my second Coffee Break DSP card. I used the Soft Sky chevron piece. I love using Soft Sky for holiday cards. The striped piece on the left is the Diagonal stamp which I stamped in versamark and embossed with copper embossing powder. The sentiment is stamped onto a Stitched Shape square (which work great with these sentiments). Then I stamped and die cut a few leaves for the corners and added some red enamel shapes. Again, another fairly simple card. You could leave out the embossing with the diagonal stamp to make it even quicker.
The next DSP I used was the Naturally Eclectic DSP. Doesn't this paper look just like falling snow? I really love this DSP for these christmas cards. (Stay tuned for a non traditional card with this DSP). This was my favorite card of the bunch. The DSP was die cut with one of the dies from the framelits which gives the look of the moon and stars at the top. Then I made a scene with the trees and deer. I can see myself making this card a lot. For the sentiment, I used washi tape to cover the parts I didn't want and just stamped "Peace" in Real Red ink. I finished it off with some metallic enamel stars.
And finally I used the Foil Frenzy DSP. I love this DSP and I love it even more that I can use it for Christmas cards. I used 2 of the designs from the pack. I stamped the sentiment onto a white circle, then I stamped "the" onto Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and punched it out to give the sentiment a little extra dimension. To finish off the card, I added a Soft Sky bow and some Iridescent sequins. (Zoom in to see the sequins).
I hope this inspires you to get started with your holiday cards using what you may have already bought from the annual catalog. Then I hope it gives you ideas that you can use again once the new Holiday catalog is out. I can't wait to see what's in store.
