I used the Picture Perfect Birthday set to make 2 cards. These colors also worked great to allow me to use DSP from the new Brights 6x6 paper stack.
Both cards use the same layout but I just changed the colors around a bit. I did the same ombre effect on the sentiment that I did on the card I shared last week. I used all 4 of the colors and my sponge dauber to add the colors to the sentiment. I think it gives the sentiment a fun look. The sentiment was stamped on Shimmer Paper for that extra shine and die cut with the Stitched Shapes framelits.
Behind the square shape I added some gold metallic thread. Then the final touches on each of the cards were the Glitter Enamel shapes on the Pacific Point card and silver sequins on the Granny Apple Green card.
I hope you enjoyed today's cards and make sure to try out this color challenge. It's a fun one!
Stay cool!
These are two gorgeous cards, Jen! I love the ombré look you’ve created for your sentiments- it gives such a fun and Summery feel! And the layers of ribbon and sparkle work so beautifully together too. Thanks for sharing with us at Just Add Ink this week.
ReplyDeleteThose ombre sentiments are just fabulous Jen! I think I need to add an embossing folder to my collection too after seeing the fun sequin effect here! Thanks for joining us at Just Add Ink this week.
