Farm Animal Birthday Party Card

Happy Monday! It's a gray and gloomy Monday here. But I have a super cute card to share with the new Over the Moon stamp set. I had no intentions of getting this stamp set but as I kept seeing adorable cards with it, I caved and got it. Plus it was perfect to use for my nephew's first birthday party this past weekend. I had made his invitations and it was a farm theme party so of course this cow fit right in!

I stamped the cow in Memento and colored him with several different Stampin' Blends. Then I cut him out. I used the Stitched Shapes for the Night Of Navy circle behind the cow and the Stitched Nested Labels dies for the Crumb Cake card stock. I added a bit of the Whisper White polka dot tulle ribbon behind the circle. I am so glad this ribbon is in the new catalog because I love it and use it ALL.THE.TIME! :)

To continue the theme from the party invites, I used the Buffalo Check stamp for the background. I stamped this in Real Red on white card stock. The sentiment is stamped on Pool Party card stock and then I just cut out each of the lines separately. I finished off the card with some Night of Navy Happiness Blooms enamel dots.

What do you think? Do you love this little guy too? Is this on your wishlist?

Have a great day!

Friday Floral Essence

Happy Friday! I'm back today! While I don't have my new order yet, I do have a lovely card to share. I originally planned to case the Floral Essence card on page 106 of the catalog. I wanted to use different colors and the Bird Ballad DSP. However, as I was putting it together it was looking very busy so instead I ended up with this version instead. One of my favorite things about the catalog is the great inspiration that you can get from it.

I used the rectangle dies to cut out DSP and shimmery white card stock. I made a frame with the Bird Ballad DSP which I think looks very pretty. I stamped the large flower image on the shimmery card stock with Petal Pink ink. The leaves were stamped in Old Olive ink. I stamped 2 flowers in Pool Party ink and cut them out. The leaves were stamped in Granny Apple Green.

I also added some splatters to the shimmery card stock by flicking the Pool Party marker over it. I stamped one of the sentiments from the set on Crumb Cake card stock and die cut it with the rectangles dies. The finishing touches are the lace trim, Mossy Meadow linen thread, Basic Adhesive backed sequins and Pearl Basic Jewels.

I hope you are enjoying all of the great new products from the catalog. I am enjoying them so much. I received this set at OnStage and didn't think I really liked it but now after playing with it a bit, I really think it's a great floral set!

I hope to be back soon with more crafty goodness. I think my mojo is coming back!

But first, I will be attending the pre-K graduation of this little girl!

I can't believe almost 5 years have flown by since she started at daycare! While she is super excited to be graduating, this mama is not ready for kindergarten just yet, haha! At least she has a couple more months at her wonderful daycare before she is off to kindergarten.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Friday and great weekend!

The New Catalog is Here!!

It's the most wonderful time of the Stampin' Up! year!!! The new 2019 -2020 catalog is here!! I probably say this every time but I think this is truly the best yet! There are soooo many new stamps that I need to get. My first order is on it's way and should be here tomorrow! Yippee!!!!

But I did have some products that I pre-ordered so I have something new to share. This card features the Bird Ballad Bundle and the Bird Ballad Laser cut cards and tin. I think this is going to be a super popular bundle. I'm not particularly interested in the bird stamps but these stole my heart.

Even though I have new cards to share, I've been in a bit of a funk creating and I'm not sure I'm in love with this card but I'm going to share it anyway.

The purple behind the laser cut card is one of the new 2019-2020 In Colors called Purple Posy. I'm declaring it now, that this will be my favorite color of the bunch! (Look how great it goes with the Gorgeous Grape ribbon).

The bird was colored with various Stampin' Blends on Shimmery white cardstock. I did fussy cut him out but he was just one little bird so it wasn't too bad. The sentiment is die cut with the new Stitched Nested Labels dies. These dies are also another must have on the list! Isn't that stitched border just great!

Have you looked through the catalog??? What are your favorites? If you don't have a copy yet of this fabulous catalog, let me know and I will get one to you right away!

Hopefully I'll be back tomorrow or this weekend with something new from my order.
