Scrapbook and Cards Today Blog Post and Giveaway!

Happy Monday!! I was a guest blogger for the Scrapbook and Cards Today blog over the weekend. I was super excited to create a project for them.

Be sure to head over to their blog for a chance to win the Project Life Hello Lovely Card Kit and Accessory Pack. You have until the end of the month to leave a comment on the post on their blog and win this great prize!

Hello friends! I’m Jennifer, a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator and 2017 Artisan Design team member from New Jersey. I am excited to share some fun projects with you this month.
I had some cute pictures of my kids that I wanted to frame. So instead of simply putting them in a frame, I wanted to jazz them up a little bit. I knew that Project Life would be perfect for this! The kit that I used was the Hello Lovely Project Life Card Collection and the Hello Lovely Project Life Accessory Pack. The colors in this kit are fabulous!
SCT1
Both of these scrapbook pages are 8 x 10 so they will fit nicely in a frame. I am not much of a scrapbooker but I like to make single pages that I can frame (my house is full of gallery walls)! The Project Life kits make this so easy since everything coordinates and the embellishments give it that extra touch.
SCT2
For this page of my daughter, I used several of the cards from the Hello Lovely Project Life Card Collection. I layered them on top of Peekaboo Peach cardstock. If you notice on the top and bottom corner, I also used one of the sayings from the All Things Thanks stamp set. It’s great to be able to combine stamping with scrapbooking. A fun little touch was using one of the acetate specialty cards as an overlay for the picture. You can see below where I lifted it up.
SCT3
Then the finishing touches were some sequins and other embellishments from the Hello Lovely Project Life Accessory Pack. I also added a pretty bow using Whisper White Thick Baker’s Twine.
SCT4
For my son’s page, I again used several of the cards. This time I took two of the black and white crosses cards and two of the stripe cards to cover more of the Pool Party cardstock. By gluing them next to each other they each look like one big card. I added some stamping on this page as well with the All Things Thanks stamp set. The finishing touches were more embellishments from the Hello Lovely Project Life Accessory Pack.
SCT5
Since I was really enjoying this kit, I wanted to make cards as well since card making is what I do most. This kit is great for cards because you just need a few extra items to make some beautiful cards.
For all of the cards I used the All Things Thanks stamp set and the stamps included in the Hello Lovely Project Life Accessory Pack. All the cards used Pool Party cardstock as the base.
SCT6
For this card, I used the super pretty floral card in the background and layered another smaller card on top. The middle layer is actually the part that I cut off from the black floral card. Since the Project Life cards are 4 x 6, they are a little too long for my cards. So I reused that extra ¾ of an inch piece in the center of the card. Can’t let anything go to waste!! I stamped the sentiment on Peekaboo Peach cardstock that was die cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies. I added more embellishments and a bow with Basic Black Solid Baker’s Twine.
SCT7
This card uses many of the same techniques that I used on the first card. Since there are so many fun patterned cards to choose from, each card looks different but uses many of the same techniques to put it together. This makes card making super simple!!
SCT8
For the final card, I again used several of the cards from the kit. The So Sweet card is found in the Accessory Pack. How cute it that! The “hello” stamp is found in the accessory pack. Since the full stamp says “Hello Lovely” and I only wanted to use hello, I used my Basic Black Stampin’ Write marker to only color “hello” to stamp, so I colored just the word with marker. I did this same technique with “you’re”. This word comes from the All Things Thanks stamp set. I finished it off with some sequins and a pretty bow.
I hope you enjoyed all of the fun projects you can make with a Project Life kit." ~ Jennifer

Global Design Project - Lacey Dragonfly

Hello!! I hope everyone had a great weekend. We had my nephew's first birthday party on Saturday and it was a lot of fun. This month has been filled with tons of kids parties for us. And we have another one this weekend as well, then I think we have a break for a while. In the next few days I'll share the invites I made for my nephew's first birthday as well as the card I made for his gift.

For today, I'm sharing a card I made for this week's challenge at Global Design Project. I check out all of the great projects the designers make each week and this is the first time I'm finally participating. The challenge this week was to CASE Louise Sharp. I LOVE everything she makes. I decided to use the same layout for my card. It's such a great layout that you can do so many things with it.

I used the Delicate Details stamp set from SAB. This set is great! I don't know why it's taken me so long to use it. I put 2 of the images on one block, stamped in versamark and embossed with white embossing powder. Gorgeous!! Don't forget you only have a few more days to get this great set. I then cut a dragonfly and added the sentiment to a tag. The sentiment was too long for my tag, so I used washi tape to cover up the areas that I didn't want to stamp when I stamped each word. This is a good thing to remember when you are hunting for a sentiment for you card. You can always make it fit!

I added gold thread behind the dragonfly and some gold sequins and dazzling details to finish the card. So pretty!

Be sure to play along this week at Global Design Project. This is my first time but it won't be the last!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Basket Bunch Easter Cards: Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop

Hello Welcome to the Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog hop. There are 20 of us from around the world so be sure to follow along to see every one's projects. You should have just come from Holly's blog. She had some fabulous projects for you this week!

Our theme for this month was to focus on Basket Bunches or Dragonfly Dreams. I chose to work with Basket Bunches. I had used Dragonfly Dreams for my display stamper projects back in November so I was out of ideas for that set, haha! Plus that bunny is so cute in Basket Bunches that I knew I wanted to do something with him. I'm also glad to have fun springy cards to share after ALL of the snow we just got here on the east coast. I mean it's mid-March, this is crazy!!

This came out exactly how I pictured it in my head. How cute is the carrot wreath?? To get a perfect circle shape for the wreath, I cut out the size circle I wanted out of the circle framelits. See below.

I used this circle as the base for the carrots. I stamped, colored and die cut 15 carrots to fit around the wreath. Then I cut and colored the bunny as well. The bunny's tail is one of the pom poms from the Pom Pom trim. As I was cutting it off the trim, it came unraveled a bit and got a little puffy but I like the look it gives. I stamped and embossed the sentiment on a Pool Party tag. To finish off the card I added ribbon from the Cupcakes and Carousel embellishment kit and some enamel shapes and gold dazzling details. This is my favorite card!!

For my next card I did lots of watercoloring!

I stamped and embossed everything on water color paper with white embossing powder. I then used inks and my aqua painter to color everything in. The background was also water colored and the bottom was stamped with the little grass image.

If you look closely at the background you will see that I embossed several clouds from the Lift Me Up stamp set with white embossing powder. I also added white sequins to several of the clouds. You can't have a card without sequins or enamel shapes!! :)

The sentiment was stamped on vellum paper and glued using the fine tip glue pen. Since this glue dries clear it's perfect to use on vellum paper!

I hope you enjoyed these Easter cards!!
