Fun and Bright Birthday Cards: Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop

Hello! Welcome to the Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog hop. There are 20 of us from around the world so be sure to follow along to see everyone's projects. You should have just come from Holly's blog.

This month we are focusing on the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set and thinlit. This thinlit is great!! I can see me using this so much! And I’m in love with the flowers from the stamp set. I love any and all flowers! Plus the rest of the images from the set are awesome too. Such a versatile birthday set.

My first card features the fabulous thinlit, the balloon punch and Foil Frenzy DSP. Oh and this paper is awesome too! There are so many great new things in this catalog. I am in love with everything.

I decided to do something a little different with this card by having a clear layer on the front. So you can see the fun little party going on, on the inside of the card.

I die cut Happy Birthday in 2 different colors and cut them apart. I put the Lemon Lime Twist and Bermuda Bay cardstock on the new multipurpose adhesive sheets and then ran it through the big shot. So once it was cut out, it was ready to be glued to the card. Those adhesive sheets made it so much easier to glue to the card. Plus since the word “birthday” was on the window sheet, I didn’t want any messy glue to show through on the other side. The front of the card also uses 2 different sheets from the Foil Frenzy pack. And to jazz up the card a bit more I added 2 balloons. The smaller balloon is stamped with the dot image from the set and the larger balloon was stamped with the flower image several times. Doesn’t it give the balloon a fun look?? To finish off the front of the card I added 2 Black Baker’s twine bows to the balloons and some Glitter Enamel shapes.

And now look at how fun the inside is! I stamped the dot image balloon several times in Peekaboo peach then added some fun little swirls in Powder Pink and Lemon Lime twist. After I added them I thought that they may be used for the string on the balloons instead but I think they look cute like this as well.

My next card features the pretty flower stamps from the set. I stamped them and some leaves several times on watercolor paper, embossed them with white embossing powder and watercolored them with Sweet Sugarplum, Fresh Fig and Lemon Lime Twist. I cut them out and placed them around the Fresh Fig square frame. How pretty is the new Fresh Fig color?

I used more of the Foil Frenzy DSP. I added some vellum over the chevron looking piece to soften it a bit and then added a strip of the polka dot one. I think the polka dot one is my favorite from the pack. What's yours??
