Airplane Guy Card

So here is my third post for this week. Woo hoo! I'm on a roll now. I am making lots of cards and bags for an upcoming spring fling at a shop where my cards are being sold. So lucky you, I'll have some eye candy for you. I know SAB is over and I didn't get the chance to share this card then. But I still wanted to show it you since I hardly share any guy cards on here. And I think it's a pretty simple layout that you can use for other guy cards. I got inspiration for this card from Pinterest. (I can't seem to find the link for it right now but when I do, i'll link back to the card). I stamped the airplane in Basic Gray and then cut it out. I made a sky and added the plane. Then I just added a piece of DSP, some washi tape and candy dots and you're done. A quick and simple card but great for a guy

Have a great day!!

Little Girl Birthday Cards

Hold on to your hats!! I have another post for you this week. In fact, I have pre-scheduled another post later in the week. Can you believe it? I got my act in gear to share what I've been working on. I love how the cards I'm sharing today came out. We had a birthday party a couple of weeks ago for friends of ours that have 2 adorable little girls. Their birthdays are less than 2 weeks apart so they had a joint party for them this year. I really wanted to use the Number of Years bundle for their cards. And I thought the perfect set to go with that was the Build a Birthday set. This set is so easy to use and makes for fantastic looking cards. I stamped the cake base for both cards in Tip Top Taupe and then used various pinks and purples (listed in the supplies below) for the actual cake. The sentiments are from the Numbers of Years stamps set. That little flag for the words "st" and "rd" is so cute! (It's included in the Large Number framelits). And of course I needed some kind of glitter on these cards for little girls, so I used the glimmer paper for the number diecuts. So fun!! And then I finished the cards off with some candy dots (pink card) and rhinestones (purple card). Surprisingly I used no sequins. What! I surely could have but decided to venture off and used some of my other embellishments instead.

Thanks again for stopping by! See you later this week!

Pretty Gold Butterfly

Hello! Happy Monday! I have a nice pretty card to brighten up your Monday. I feel like I've been doing quite a bit of crafting lately but I haven't been sharing much of it. As noticed by my last blog post dated at the beginning March. So I will work on sharing the things I have been doing. I've done a couple of invitations for showers and then I've been working on some cards to sell at a shop nearby. So I need to get on blogging about them. Today's card is one of the cards I will be selling.

I got inspiration from this card and this card. I took the elements I liked from both cards and combined them into one. I really liked the idea of painting the stripes on the paper. So I used my aqua painter and Wisteria Wonder ink to paint the lines on shimmer cardstock. I liked the element of the butterfly and flower stamp from the 2nd card so I added those to mine. The flower from Birthday Blooms was stamped in Crumb Cake on the shimmer cardstock. I then cut out a butterfly from the Champagne glimmer paper. The sentiment is from February's Paper Pumpkin kit. The banner and die are from the Large Number framelits. That is such a great banner. I can see that I will be using it on a lot of cards. To finish it off I added white baker's twine and some sequins from February's Paper Pumpkin kit. I just can't have a card without sequins. They are definitely one of my go-to's now and the ones in the Paper Pumpkin are fabulous!!

Thanks for stopping by!
