Holiday Card Class

Well it has been quite a while since I've posted and done anything crafty. I went back to work in the middle of October so I've been getting used to that. Then 2 weeks after I got back we had to deal with Superstorm Sandy and the power outage that we had for 11 days. So that was interesting.

I do want to share with you the cards for my upcoming Holiday Card Class on November 29th. We will be making 5 cards using the Ornament Keepsakes bundle and Festival of Prints DSP. I love both of these things! The ornament bundle is so much fun. If only I had more time to play. :( And I love that the Festival of Prints DSP can be used for the holidays or other occasions since some of the paper isn't as festive.

And here is just a quick recap of the past couple months and what has been keeping me so busy. :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Fab Friday 01 (on Thursday)

Holy smokes, a post 3 days in a row! That's craziness! Today's card is for a challenge that I came across called Fab Friday. I liked the sketch, I had some time, so I decided to play along. I wanted to do a Halloween card and this is what I came up with. I used the Wicked Cool and Border Banter sets. I used the More Mustard plaid paper from the Orchard Harvest DSP. I stamped the boots 3 times and cut them out. Then in the background I randomly stamped the bats and web in Sahara Sand. The word Spooky is from the Border Banter set and the chevron on the Lucky Limeade piece is also from that set. I think this card came out cute. Although I think there needs to be a little more space in between the word spooky and the brad but oh well. Thanks for taking a peek and be sure to check out the Fab Friday blog and play along!

Stamps: Wicked Cool, Border Banter
Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Lucky Limeade, Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Orchard Harvest DSP

Serene Silhouettes

Posting 2 days in a row!! That's crazy. That hasn't happened in a while but I was actually able to get a card done yesterday that I wanted to share. I got this set when the new catalog came out but I haven't had a chance to play with it yet. I used lots of new things on this card. My favorite is the tulle ribbon that is from the Holiday mini. I also used the Festival of Prints DSP stack. This card shows how you can use the papers for non christmas cards. There are quite a few designs in there that can be used all year long. I stamped one of the images from the set first in Midnight Muse, then in Baja Breeze, then layered it on Baja Breeze. I added the lovely tulle ribbon and used a Vintage Faceted Designer button in the middle. The sentiment is from Tea Shoppe and it's stamped in Midnight Muse on Baja Breeze. Thanks for taking a look!

More Perfectly Preserved

Hello! I'm back with another Perfectly Preserved card. I actually made this card a couple of weeks ago but just haven't had the time to post. Someone does not like to take many (if any) naps during the day!! At least he sleeps pretty good during the night so I will take that! Anyway, for today's card I used Perfectly Preserved again and the Orchard Harvest DSP. The colors and designs of these papers are great! I love almost all of them. For this card I used the plaid design and the Raspberry Ripple dots design. Again, I stamped the Border Banter set on the cotton ribbon. I stamped the chevron design in Island Indigo. I stamped 2 pears in Gumball Green and Summer Starfruit and used the die to cut them out. The apple is stamped in Raspberry Ripple. Then I used the Textured Impressions Designer Frames embossing folder behind the fruit. And finally I added the Thank you sentiment from the set in the bottom corner. Thanks for stopping by!!!

Stamps: Perfectly Preserved
Paper: Early Espresso, Luckly Limeade, Orchard Harvest DSP
Ink: Gumball Green, Summer Starfruit, Rasberry Ripple, Early Espresso, Island Indigo

Perfectly Preserved

Hi! I actually did get a chance to play around with some new things last week. However, I wasn't able to photograph them and post about them until today. Since it's been so long since I've stamped, I'm not feeling too excited about the cards I made. Out of the 3 I made, today's card is the one I like the best. I'm not sure I will even post the others since they aren't so good, haha! I used lots of new goodies on this card. I thought my favorite thing was going to be the stamp set but I think it's the new Cotton Ribbon. I almost didn't get this thinking I didn't need more ribbon but I love that you can stamp on it and kind of make your own ribbon. I used the new Border Banter's set to get the chevron look on the ribbon. I stamped that in Summer Starfruit. I'm not really a fan of this color but I do love how it looks on the ribbon. The background is embossed with the Woodgrain textured embossing folder. Then I used the new Perfectly Preserved set and coordinating Framelit dies....love them!! This set is so fun and so easy to use now that you don't have to cut everything out.
I hope to have more to show you soon with this set! Thanks for stopping by.

Stamps: Perfectly Preserved
Paper: Rasberry Ripple, Crumb Cake, Summer Starfruit
Ink: Rasberry Ripple, Gumball Green, Midnight Muse, Summer Starfruit, Pool Party

Baby Update - Justin

Hello! It's been a while since my last post. Little Justin has been keeping me quite busy. Justin arrived on July 9th, at 7:55 am. He was 5 days late. I was going to be induced on Monday morning but he decided to start to come on his own late Sunday night. Below are a few pictures of him. The first one is one of his first days home. Then we have his 1 month photo. I plan to take a picture each month on with a different background. I used MDS to add "1 month" to the bottom of the photo. My plan is to make an album out of all these pictures once he turns a year.

I also wanted to share his baby announcement. A friend of mine took some really cute photos of him when he was about a week or so old. I used these photos for the announcement. I designed it in MDS and printed them out on 5 x 7 photo paper. The background is Gumball Green. Then I added the Pool Party polka dots from the Hip and Handsome overlays. The white dotted lines are also from the Hip and Handsome overlays. Next I added 2 Modern Label punches in Peach Parfait and added white brads to the one with Justin's name. I added some baker's twine in Pumpkin Pie. I also used the Candid Frames around each picture. I really had a lot of fun designing this in MDS. I have upgraded to MDS II but I haven't played around with it too much yet but it looks like there a lots of fun new things you can do with it. I can't wait to try it out more!!

Well my package of new Holiday mini goodies just arrived today. I hope I get a chance to play around a little bit this afternoon if Justin decides to take a nap. Hopefully he will otherwise I'll have to wait until tomorrow. :( It's been a while since I've actually stamped anything so I think I've lost my groove. Maybe the new stuff will inspire me! Thanks for stopping by!

Blooming with Kindness - Wedding

Hi! It's going to be a hot one today. They are predicting 95 or so here in NJ! I like that I am home from work so I can spend some time in our little pool in the backyard today, haha! We have one of those 3 foot blowup pools. It's not the best thing but for days like this, it will be great!
For today's set of cards, I used the new Blooming with Kindness set. I went back and forth on this set but I just really really like that flower (of course!). And I just figured this set would be great to make a whole set of simple cards with different sentiments. I haven't tried that yet but so far, I love how these wedding cards came out. My brother had asked me to make a wedding card for him for a wedding he's going to this weekend. Then I have 2 destination weddings that are coming up in the next 2 weeks that unfortunately I can't attend but I thought it would be a good idea to get those cards ready to go. Because who knows when this little one is arriving. I suppose he could be here at any day now. Ahhh! Crazy! Back to the cards. I stamped the flower image on the 3 different colored cardstocks in white then I embossed them with clear embossing powder. Then I die cut the silver glimmer paper with the Labels Collections Framelits dies. I stamped the flower image in the coordinating cardstock colors on the white piece. I added some Very Vanilla tafetta ribbon and the sentiment. I just printed the "Congratulations" on the computer and punched it out with the Modern Label punch. I also really like these 3 colors together so I think I may try them out together on just one card sometime.
Thanks for stopping by and stay cool!

Pleasant Poppies

Hello! I have a quick post for you today. I decided to do the sketch challenge on splitcoast again today. The challenges at splitcoast definitely help you if you are in a creative funk. It helps to get the juices flowing! I used some new things on today's card. First up is the Pleasant Poppies background stamp. I stamped this is Black Stazon and then colored in the poppies with Primrose Petals (new) and Gumball Green (new). The butterflies are from the new Papillion Potpourri stamped in Pool Party. The larger butterfly is punched out with a new punch. I love the look of this butterfly punch. The smaller butterflies I just cut out my hand. I layered all of this on the Summer Smooches DSP and added a Gumball Green bow. I hope you like some of the new products!

Stamps: Papillion Potpourri, Pleasant Poppies
Paper: Crumb Cake, Summer Smooches DSP
Ink: Black Stazon, Primrose Petals, Gumball Green, Pool Party, Daffodil Delight

Banner Birthday!

I am back with another post for you today. I like that I have a little time to get back into making some cards. I did another challenge on splitcoast today which was to focus on the use of banners on your card. I had seen this sketch somewhere with the banners like this so I thought it was perfect for today's card. This card was pretty quick to make and is a great way to use up some DSP scraps. This would look cute with any of the fabulous DSPs we have. Today I choose to use the Sweet Shop DSP. Unfortunately this isn't available anymore but there are definitely some great papers in the new catalog to chose from. I just cut 3 strips in various lengths and used the square punch to make the banner on the bottom. I stamped the popsicle from Mouthwatering in Calypso Coral and added some Dazzling Diamonds. I used a scrap piece of white for the sentiment and also used the square punch on the ends. And that's it, a quick and simple card! Tomorrow my new stuff comes so hopefully it comes early enough that I have time to play and get a card posted!
Thanks for stopping by!

A Cup of Thanks

Hello everyone! It's been a few weeks since I've last posted and they've been a busy few weeks. Between finishing up things at work before maternity leave and getting things together for my brother's wedding, there hasn't been much time for stamping. :( But I am now done with work for a few months and my brother's wedding was on June 1st. The wedding was very nice even though we had some very windy weather which forced the ceremony inside. But we all had a great time. Now that I am on maternity leave, I hope to have some time to get a few cards made before this baby gets here. Because once he's here, I'm sure my crafting time is going to be very limited/non existent for a little while. So for today's card, I used some of the new In Colors. My order of things from the new catalog should arrive on Friday so I can't wait to play with some new stuff. In the meantime, I tried out the new inks and they are so nice! I decided to use the sketch on splitcoast today to get my juices flowing since it's been a while. The colors used were Gumball Green (new), Summer Starfruit (new), Rasberry Ripple (new), Pool Party and Island Indigo (DSP). I brought out the Tea Shoppe set which I haven't used in a while and stamped the 3 tea cups in different colors. I cut them out and put them on dimensionals. Before I did that, I stamped the flower image in Summer Starfruit 3 times since the tea cups seemed a little lonely without anything on the background. Then I added the sentiment and some Pool Party ruffled ribbon to finish it off. I hope you play along with the challenge today at Splitcoast.

Stamps: Tea Shoppe
Ink: Pool Party, Gumball Green, Summer Starfruit, Rasberry Ripple, Black
Paper: Gumball Green, Summer Starfruit, Sweet Shop DSP

Mouthwatering Swap

Hi! Today's card is one that I did a while ago for a swap but I don't think I ever shared it on here. I just love the ice cream come from the Mouthwatering set. Even more so now since ice cream has been my big weakness lately. :) Anyway, this set is from the Occasions mini however, it may still live on in the new catalog (wink, wink)! I really think this is a fun and different set to use for birthdays. Or really whatever occasion you would like. I actually stamped the ice cream cone 4 different times in Chocolate Chip, Lucky Limeade, Tempting Turquoise and Real Red and then cut out the different parts and layered them. It was a little time consuming to cut them but the end result is worth it. I then layered the ice cream on one of the Labels Collections Framelits die and added some rhinestones. I used a piece of DSP from the Summer Smooches collection. LOVE this DSP also!!! The colors are so bright and fun! Then I added a strip of Daffodil Delight and stamped the sentiment from Friendly Phrases. Thanks for looking!! Have a great afternoon!

Bright Blossoms - Mother's Day

Happy Friday!! Here is the other card that I did for mother's day. I used the Bright Blossoms set and randomly stamped the various images from the set in different colors. Then I used the music notes wheel in Daffodil Delight on top of the flowers. This came out a little too dark for my liking. I think I should have rolled it on scrap paper first so the yellow would have been a little lighter. Oh well. Then I ran this piece through the Big Shot with the Lattice Texture embossing folder. This was then layered on Peach Parfait and Pool Party cardstock. I used MDS again for the sentiment. This sentiment is also from the brush set, "Mom You're the Bomb". Then I added some ribbon and rhinestones and that's it! Enjoy! Have a great weekend!

Stamps:Bright Blossoms, Mom You're the Bomb (MDS), Music Notes wheel
Paper: Soft Suede, Pool Party, Peach Parfait, Rich Razzleberry
Ink: Pool Party, Lucky Limeade, Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo, Peach Parfait, Daffodil Delight

Fabulous Florets - Mother's Day

Hello! I hope you all had a nice weekend. I took an extra day this weekend to get more things done around the house and to relax a little. We put a few of our baby things together and then took a break and went to the movies to see The Avengers in 3D. It was a pretty good movie. And in between all the baby stuff, I did have some time to make a couple of cards. With mother's daoy right around the corner, I needed to get 2 cards done for this weekend. The first card I made uses Fabulous Florets. I stamped the flowers in Stazon and then colored them in with markers and blender pens. I really like these colors together. I'm glad that these In Colors are still around for another year!! The DSP is from the Sweet Shop collection. The sentiment is from the MDS download "Mom You're the Bomb". All I did was scale the sentiment to the size I wanted in MDS, printed it out and punched it out with the Decorative Label punch. Super easy! Behind the label, I cut out the smallest shape from the Labels Collection Framelits die. Then I added some ribbon and a couple of pearls. I'm not sure if this is going to my mom or my mother in law but I hope they like it. I will show you the other card I did this week. Thanks for stopping by.

Stamps: Fabulous Florets, Mom, You're the Bomb (MDS), Bright Blossoms

Party This Way - Retiring

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a nice weekend. I had plans of posting this weekend but of course other things got in the way. I had to straighten up the new baby's room. After my baby shower last weekend, gifts were taking over that room! Everyone was so generous and we are so appreciative. Yet all the gifts piled in the room made it a little hard to walk, lol! So I needed to take care of that plus the other fun household items. But on to the card. I made this card for my brother's 30 birthday on Friday. I used various papers from Sweet Shop and Summer Smooches for the banner which was punched with the Petite Pennants Builder punch. I also stamped one of the images from Party This Way behind the DSP on the pennants. For the "30", I typed that out in MDS, printed on vellum and attached to the card with brads. I stamped and punched the sentiment and then I stamped and cut out the "Party This Way". This wasn't one of my favorite sets although I do use the "Happy Birthday" sentiment all the time so I will still probably keep this set for that. Thanks for stopping by!

Inspired by Nature - Retiring

Hi! So I got inspired yesterday to start using some retired stamps. This set is one of my favorites that is retiring. I haven't used it much lately but I love those flowers and the grass. This card is based on this card. I liked the idea of layering the flowers on top of the Hello Doily stamp. The background layer of this card if from an idea I saw by Connie Collins. She used the lace border punch to achieve the look of dry embossing. I didn't have that bunch so I used the Doily Punch and punched out several doilies in Pool Party and adhered them to another sheet of Pool Party. Then I sponged all around the edges. I stamped the flower image in Lucky Limeade, then I stamped it again using Poppy Parade and Chocolate Chip for the flowers. I cut the flowers out so they had some dimension. I also stamped the text image from French Foliage on top of the flowers for a little extra something. I used another image from French Foliage on the white piece and sponged that as well. Then I added some ribbon and a little tag with a sentiment from You're a Gem (another retiring set). I hope you enjoyed today's card and I hope it inspired you to bring out an older set you haven't used in a while. Have a great day!

Stamps: Inspired by Nature, You're a Gem, French Foliage, Hello Doily
Paper: Soft Suede, Pool Party

Sweet Popsicles and the Retired Stamp List!

Happy Wednesday! Today's card is another card using the Mouthwatering set from the Occasions Mini. It's the same layout as this card. The background paper is from the Sweet Shop DSP. The paper from this pack is so much fun. There isn't too much to explain on this card, so this will be a short post.

Don't forget to check out the Retired Stamp List. This year's list is a little longer than usual since Stampin' Up! is making room for more new stamps! It's a little sad seeing some of my favorites go but I can't wait for the new catalog which will be here soon - June 1st! In the meantime, check out the list and place your order if one of your must haves is retiring.

Retired Stamp List

On April 25th, the Retired Accessories list will be revealed so check back then for that list.

In the next month, I plan to bring out some of the oldies and favorites and get some use out of them before I start playing with the new products!! Some of these sets I haven't used in a LOOOONG time so it will be fun to pair them up with some of the products from the current catalog.

Thanks for stopping by!

Vintage Bright Blossoms

Hello! Today's card is the Easter card that I made for my mom. I used the new Bright Blossoms set (that you can get this month) and decided to make a vintage-y card. I love using this set with the bright colors from the Summer Smooches DSP but it was also fun to try something different with it. I used the Everyday Enchantment paper from SAB. To get the antique look on the main panel, I used the French Foliage set and stamped various images in Crumb Cake. Then I sponged the edge in Crumb Cake and Chocolate Chip. I just love the little tulip flowers from this set. I stamped them 3 times in Peach Parfait and cut them out. The Pool Party vases were also cut out. For the finishing touch, I added some pearls to the tulips and Pear Pizazz seam binding with an antique brad. I hope you like it!

Stamps: Bright Blossoms, Teeny Tiny Wishes, French Foliage
Paper: Everyday Enchantment DSP, Poppy Parade, Vanilla
Ink: Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip, Poppy Parade, Peach Parfait, Pool Party, Pear Pizazz

Mouthwatering Cherries

Hello! I have a quick post for you today. Today's card uses the Mouthwatering set and the Sweet Shop DSP. I used the cute cherry dsp as the background. The cherries are stamped in Calypso Coral and then cut out. For the sentiment I used the Labels Collections Framelits die to make the label. I cut out one of the labels and then I ran it through the Big Shot again postitioning the die so it basically cut the label in half. This works well for some of the bigger/longer sentiments. Then I added some rhinestones next to it to set it off. Thanks for stopping by!

Sneak Peek!

Hi!! I interupt this week of Mouthwatering birthday cards to show you a sneak peek from the upcoming catalog in June. This card uses some fun new papers and a cute little stamp set. Of course I am in love with all of the papers in this new pack. It was hard to pick which ones to use for this card but I went with the one that had some Daffodil Delight and Island Indigo. I do have another card for next week that uses quite a few of the papers. We have had a couple of nice warm days here so I think that's just getting me in the mood for spring/summer and all of the colors in these papers help too. So for the card, I used 2 of the papers from the Summer Smooches DSP. I die cut one of the labels from the Labels Collection Framelits Die. I used a new stamp set called Bright Blossoms for the flowers and vase. I then added a sentiment from Friendly Phrases. I finished it off with some rhinestones and Island Indigo ruffled ribbon.
These papers and stamp set will be in the upcoming catalog but you will also get a chance to purchase these products during the month of April. How exciting! I will have more details on this promotion in April.

Paper: Crumb Cake, Summer Smooches DSP

Glittery Birthday

Hello!! This week I have a couple of fun cards using the Mouthwatering set from the Occasions Mini. This is a great set for summer birthday cards or even year round birthday cards. Who wouldn't love an ice cream cone birthday card! I used the Sweet Shop DSP from the Occasions mini for the background. I stamped the ice cream cone 3 times and cut out each section and layered them with dimensionals. I then layered this onto a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock that was embossed with the Designer Frames embossing folder. I stamped the sentiment from Party This Way in Lucky Limeade. I also used a strip of the silver glimmer paper (LOVE this stuff!). And the final touch was a Melon Mambo bow. I really like all of these bright colors together. I am so ready for spring/summer to get here soon! I will be back in a day or 2 with another Mouthwatering/Sweet Shop birthday card.

Stamps: Mouthwatering, Party This Way

Beach Wedding Invites

Happy Friday! I am sorry that I have been MIA over the last month. I have been in invitation overload!! I just finished wedding invitations for a friend of mine. Now I am working on bridal shower invites for my future sister in law and then I have their wedding invitations to finish up by the end of the month. I do hope to squeeze in some cards on the blog here in the meantime. I plan to have some sneak peeks of a couple of new products from the new 2012 - 2013 Stampin Up catalog. In the meantime, I will share with you the invitations that I did for my friend's wedding. She is getting married on the beach in Florida at the end of June so she wanted something tropical looking. Unfortunately, I will be unable to attend her wedding since its at the end of June and I am due a couple of days after. Who knows, I may even have this little baby by then! As a quick side note, we found out about 2 weeks ago that we will be having a boy so that is exciting. Now we need to get working on his room among a million other things we have to do. :)

But back to the invites. I used some non SU! stamps for the palm tree leaves and the starfish. The colors used are Calypso Coral and Lucky Limeade. I love how these turned out and she was very happy with the result.

Stamps: Palm Tree (non SU!), Gifts from the Sea (non SU!)
Paper: White, Calypso Coral

Mouthwatering Goodness!

Hello there! Today's card uses lots of new items (and new to me items) from the Occasions Mini and Sale-a-bration catalog. I had seen this layout on Maile Belle's blog and I really liked how she used the a die for the cut out portion. This card actually ended up coming out how I envisioned it. I love what that happens! The paper and stamp set are new from the Occasions mini. They are part of the Sweet Shop product suite. I went back and forth on this stamp set and paper. I really liked it as soon as I saw it but I just wasn't sure I would get enough use out of it. After thinking about it and then seeing some cards done with it, I decided to get it. I'm so glad I did. I'm really liking it. The paper is really fun and I love the colors. And I like that the stamp set is something different than the normal flowers or nature type sets I get. I like to venture out and get some different stamps to build my collection. Now on to the card. The Wisteria Wonder piece was embossed with the Stripes Textured embossing folder, which you can get for FREE from the Sale-a-bration catalog. I then die cut that piece with the Labels Collection framelits die. Behind the opening, I added a piece of the Sweet Shop DSP. (Love those little hearts). Then I used the Mouthwatering set to stamp the ice cream cones. I actually stamped the ice cream cone 3 times. The cone in Crumb Cake, the ice cream in Pool Party and Lucky Limeade and the cherry in Real Red. I cut out each of these pieces and then layered them with dimensionals. Then I wrapped some Pool Party bakers twine around the Wisteria Wonder piece, made a bow and then added the sentiment from Party This Way. I added 2 pearls to the sentiment and colored them with the Wisteria Wonder marker. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek at today's card!!

Aviary Love

Hello! I hope everyone had a nice weekend. Mine was spent doing some cleaning and organizing....fun stuff! Haha! Today's card is the other card that I made for my coworker to choose from. I think this one is more over the top than the one from Friday. And this is the one he ended up picking for his fiance. I just love how this came out. It is so pretty! :) The flowers were fun to make too. Especially since I rarely use them on cards because they would make it too bulky to send. They would be good for hand delivered cards. The gray background is stamped with one of the flower images from Fabulous Florets. I used the new Labels Collection framelits die behind the oval. I love these new dies too. They add just the right touch to a card. Then I cut out and embossed the oval with the Designer Frames embossing folder. I stamped the bird card and the 2 bird from the Aviary set. The Pink Pirouette hearts were stamped with a non-SU stamp. Then the Pink Piroutte strip was embossed with the Pefect Polka Dots embossing folder. To make the flowers I punched 3 scallop circles. Two circles were punched with the 1 3/4 scallop circle and the other was punched with the 2 3/8 scallop circle. I did add rhinestones to all 3 flowers. It's hard to see it in the one flower. It got pushed to the bottom of the flower but it's there! The leaves are just cut free hand. I actually decorated the inside of this card too but I forgot to take a picture. Have a great day!

Banner Love

Happy Friday!! I am glad that it is the end of the week even though it is a gloomy day here. But at least I have a fun and bright card. I was asked by a coworker if I could make a Valentine's card for his fiance. He wanted something over the top.....oooo fun! So I designed 2 different cards for him to choose from. Today's card is the first one I made. I had a lot of fun making it and I think it came out cute. For the clouds in the background I punched out several scallop circles and then ran them through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. I then cut them in half to make the cloud shapes. I then punched out some pennants to make the cute banner. I bought that punch a long time ago and this was actually the first time I used it. Before I punched out the Pink Pirouette pennants I stamped them with the pennant image from Party This Way. At the end of the banner I added 2 bows with the Pool Party baker's twine. I love the color of this! Maybe that's because I'm in LOVE with Pool Party. And then I added some glittered hearts to each pennant. For the bottom, I cut out a strip of Pear Pizzazz DSP and added a Pear Pizzazz seam binding. Isn't this a cute Valentine's card or even just a cute card to say I love you. I will try to stop by over the weekend with the other card I made. I love that one too. It came out really nice and over the top, haha!! Enjoy your weekend!!

Field Flowers thank you

Happy Wednesday everyone! Today's card is one that I did a while ago but I don't think I ever posted it on here. This is a pretty quick and simple thank you card. It's even quicker if you decide not to cut out the flowers. Two step stamping makes it quick and look really nice at the same time. The touch of glitter from the glimmer paper gives it a nice extra touch as well. For the bottom green piece, I just stamped one of the flower images randomly on the sheet to make my own designer paper. I hope you like it. I hope to be back in a day or 2 with some Occasions mini and Sale-a-Bration samples. I also have a super cute Valentine's card that I will be sharing too!!

New Goodies!

Hello! It feels good to be back into the swing of things a little more. My energy has picked up a bit along with some creative juices. I hope I can keep this going for a little bit. New stuff always helps to get the mojo back. :) Today I'm showing some new things from the Occasions mini and from the upcoming Sale-a-Bration. I LOVE this new paper from Sale-a-Bration! I think I like all of the fun bright colors that it uses. It kind of helps to get out of this winter funk. The set I used is called Tea Shoppe from the Occasions mini. I really liked this set when I first saw it in the catalog but I wasn't sure how much use I would get out of it. Now after playing around with it a bit, I'm really liking it more and more. The little tea cups are just so cute. So this group of cards is for my next class in February. In the class we will also be making a cute tea bag holder (not shown).

Class Details:
You will make 4 cards, a tea bag holder and receive your own Pool Party bakers twine.

Happy New Year!

Well, well, well. It's been quite a well since I've posted on here. I haven't forgotten about the blog, I've just been in a long creative funk and haven't had the energy to create or share anything. I do have a couple of Christmas projects to share which I'll just share here in one post. Since Christmas is way gone, who wants to see that stuff anymore, lol! However, I do have one project from the Creative Crew last month that is not Christmas so you'll get a little something Valentines-ish.
Now I have a very good reason for my absence and why I think I lost my creative juices for a while. :) It's because we are expecting a new little bundle of joy in July!! So basically since the end of October until the end of the year, I have been exhausted and lazy!!! I am just now finally starting to pick up a little more energy and now that the Occasions mini is out with some new things, I've been back to my craft room, doing a few things. So my hope is to try to post a little more often now. That is my plan. We'll see how that goes considering that I will be working on 2 sets of invitations to be done by March. I am going to be busy busy! But I promise to post more than once every 3 months, haha!
So here is some eye candy from last year. The frame and the hearts card were done for the Creative Crew in December. Which by the way you should definitely try out the challenges for this month. They look so fun! The other 2 cards were Christmas cards that I had sent out.

I hope everyone had enjoyed their holidays and had a happy new year!!
