Hello! I'm back on this gorgeous sunny day with another Peaceful Poppies card. I used the Peaceful Poppies DSP again along with the the black and white stripe paper from the Golden Honey Specialty DSP from Sale-a-bration. I cut the black and white strip paper with one of the dies from Stitched So Sweetly.

I then cut two poppies using Purple Posy card stock (my favorite) and leaves using Mossy Meadow and Old Olive card stock. The "thanks" sentiment is from the Well Written dies. I finished off the card with Mossy Meadow twine, Black Glittered ribbon and Iridescent sequins.

This card was pretty quick to put together and would be a great way to use up your DSP. I love mixing and matching different DSPs and finding fun color combinations.

I would love to see you CASE this card and come up with your own mix matched DSP combos.

Have a great day!!

Mother's Day Cards

Hello! I know it's been quite a while since I've posted. At the beginning of this quarantine in March, time was moving like molasses but somehow since April, time has been flying by. Work, homeschooling and other random chores have wiped me out so by the end of the day, I'm beat and not up for crafting. But I managed to find some time and energy this past week to make mother's day cards. I know we are past mother's day but I still wanted to share the cards as the sentiments could be easily swapped for birthday, thank you, etc.

Again, I used the Peaceful Poppies suite. One of my favorites of all time. I love all the colors in the papers and the dies are fantastic. As you can see I used the same layout for both cards but just used different papers from the pack.

I used Night of Navy as the base for both cards. The flowers and leaves were die cut with the Poppy Moments dies and DSP. The flowers/leaves were then layered on Sparkle Glimmer paper that was die cut with the Stitched So Sweetly dies.

The sentiment is from Well Said and is stamped on Petal Pink card stock that was punched with the Classic Label Punch. Additional touches to the cards are a strip of Purple Posy linen ribbon, a Mossy Meadow linen thread bow and Champagne Rhinestone basic jewels.

Make sure you stock up on this paper before it's gone by the end of the month. Although I have to tell you the new catalog has some great DSP.

Stay tuned as I will have another card to share this week with the Peaceful Poppies suite. I made this card a while ago but just never found the time to share it.

Thanks for stopping by!

TGIFC258 - Rainbow Hello

Hello! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. We enjoyed another weekend on quarantine but at least the weather was nice so we got outside for a bit. I also made my first batch of macarons with my daughter so that was fun. For my first time I think they came out pretty good. My daughter and I also spent some time making cards. It's her favorite thing to do lately. She made some cards for her friends and cousin and I played along with the TGIF challenge. This week's challenge was a color challenge - rainbow was the color!

I love making rainbow cards. Plus who couldn't use a rainbow card right now to brighten your day.

I used one of the hearts from the Be Mine Dies and cut them out in Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie, Pineapple Punch, Coastal Cabana, Granny Apple Green, Gorgeous Grape, and Blushing Bride card stock. Isn't it so pretty?!

Behind the hearts is Dazzling Glimmer paper cut with the Stitched Nested Labels dies. And all of that is layered on a piece of the Golden Honey Specialty DSP.

The sentiment is from Seriously The Best. I stamped it on black card stock and embossed with white embossing powder. After I cut out the sentiment I added several strips of ribbon: Denim Ribbon, Purple Posy Linen Ribbon and Whisper White Polka Dot tulle ribbon.

After I put the card together, I looked through all of my embellishments and added enamel dots in various colors to the hearts along with some rhinestone jewels.

I love a pretty rainbow card. I hope to do some more rainbow cards soon!

Stay safe and healthy!

Global Design Project #232

Happy Saturday!! I have a fun and pretty card to share today. I used some of my quarantined time today to play along with the Global Design Project challenge this week. The challenge this week was to CASE the Designer. Here is the card to CASE this week:

This was such a pretty card to CASE. Now here is my card!

I pretty much CASED the card exactly. I loved all the flowers and bright colors. I took out the Abstract Impressions stamp set which I haven't used all that much lately. I forgot how much I love this set. It's great for making your own DSP.

I stamped the flowers in Petal Pink/Grapefruit Grove and Pool Party/Blueberry Bushel. The leaves are Soft Sea Foam/Granny Apple Green. And I used one of the grass stamps in the set stamped with Pineapple Punch and filled in the white spaces. I stamped it on scrap paper first so the yellow wasn't so bright.

My hand crafted DSP was layered on top of the Peaceful Poppies DSP. I then used another flower image from the set and stamped 3 more flowers that I cut out and layered around the circle.

This was such a fun challenge. I love how bright and cheerful my card came out! I'm definitely going to try this again in some other colors.

Have a wonderful weekend!

GDP #230 - Magnolia Floral Thank You

Hello! I'm playing along with the Global Design Project challenge this week. This week's challenge is a sketch challenge. This is a great basic sketch. Pop on over to Global Design Project to check out the projects from the design team.

Now here is my submission.

I pulled out the Good Morning Magnolia bundle for this card. This set was one of my early favorites from the annual catalog. It's such a great flower for coloring. I used the Petal Pink and Granny Apple Green Stampin Blends for the flower. After I colored the flower, I die cut it and then cut the leaves so I could rearrange them behind the flower.

I layered the flower on a Terracotta Tile circle. This is my first time using this color and I like how it goes with Petal Pink. The DSP used is the Golden Honey DSP from the SAB catalog. Again, this DSP has some really great bold and basic prints.

The sentiment is from Seriously The Best, which is so fitting. This set really is great. I didn't think I needed it at first but I love having a large script sentiment and then smaller sentiments to go with them.

Oh and one other fun element I used on this card are the leaves from the Magnolia Lane cork embellishments. I tucked them in behind the other leaves for some additional texture to the card. It gives the card a fun pop!

Isn't this a fun challenge??!

Have a great day!

More Bonanza Buddies

Happy Wednesday! Quick post here for you today. But I wanted to share another card with the Bonanza Buddies bundle. These guys are just the cutest and so much cuter when there is a die to cut them out!!

I decided to whip out some embossing paste for this card. It's been a while since I've used it. But it made me remember how much fun it is and how it gives the card some extra dimension. I used the cloud mask from the Pattern Party Decorative masks and used the embossing paste on Pool Party card stock. Once that dried, I added a strip of Granny Apple Green card stock and the die cut animals.

In the top left corner, I die cut the party banners with Sparkle Glimmer paper and added a sentiment in the bottom corner. I love using the classic label punch for those smaller sentiments.

I hope this card brightened your day today.

Have a wonderful day!!

Cute Koalas

Hello, Happy Tuesday! I'm officially in love with the Birthday Bonanza buddies!! I'm finally taking a slight break from the Painted Poppies bundle and I'm moving on to the Birthday Bonanza bundle. I wasn't planning on getting this set but the animals in this set are just way too cute to pass up. Today, I decided to use the cute koala and kind of make my own DSP.

I stamped Mr. Koala several times on a sheet of Shimmer White card stock. In the blank spaces I colored it with the light Pool Party marker and added some Granny Apple Green little stars. Aren't they all just so cute!!

The base of the card uses one of the sheets from the Birthday Bonanza DSP. Then I added my colored card stock of koalas on top. If you look closely you can see I added some Happiness Blooms enamel dots to the centers of some of the green stars.

The "Hello" sentiment is from Seriously the Best stamp set and the "friend" sentiment is from the Well Said stamp set. Friend was stamped and embossed with white embossing powder. Hello was stamped in Poppy Parade ink and then I fussy cut it out.

I just love the fun bright colors of this card. So are you in love with these guys yet??? Don't be surprised if you see some more card with these guys over the next few days! :)

Have a fabulous day!

Purple Poppies!

Hello! It's another Painted Poppy day! While I had this set on my desk, I've whipped up a bunch of cards, so I hope your ready to see a few more with this set. It's hard not to make a bunch of cards with this set and this pretty paper. I think this paper is one of my favorites from the Peaceful Poppies DSP. The colors are so bright and vibrant so I decided to pair it with a lighter Purple Posy poppy. Doesn't that color look so great with the DSP?

For the center of the flower, I colored it with wink of stella for extra shimmer. The leaves were cut out with Granny Apple Green and Mossy Meadow card stock.

I also used a strip of DSP from the Golden Honey Specialty DSP from Sale-a-bration and a strip of Gold Glimmer paper for some extra sparkle!

For the sentiment I used the Well Said stamp set. Since there was some yellow in the DSP, I decided to stamp the sentiment on Pineapple Punch card stock. I love the extra "punch" it adds. :)

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day

Global Design Project #227 - Let It Grow

Happy Thursday! I'm playing along with the Global Design Project this week. This week's challenge is Let it Grow. So of course I have to use my new favorite set.... the Painted Poppies Bundle.

I have several thank you cards to make so I have a few cards to share over the next few days with this set. I hope you don't get sick of this set!! :)

I used some of the pretty Peaceful Poppies DSP for the background. I just used the simple green stripe paper to show off the pretty flowers.

The flowers are layered on one of the dies from the Stitched So Sweetly set. Then I ran the Soft Sea Foam paper through the Big Shot with the subtle embossing folder. I did something fun with the leaves on the card below. I used the splatter stamp from the set and stamped it several times with Mossy Meadow and then stamped the leaf image on top and die cut. So it the leaves have a fun splatter look. The leaves on the card above are just stamped with the "blob" image from the set. I'm not sure what the technical name is for that stamp in the set, haha!

For the finishing touches, I added some ribbon from the Magnolia Ribbon combo pack, some basic adhesive sequins, Share What you Love pearls (retired) and wink of stella in the center of the flowers.

Stay tuned for some more flowers over the next few days!!

Have a wonderful day!

Thankful Poppies

Hello! Today I'm sharing a card with the fun Painted Poppies set. I'm a sucker for a floral sets and this one is a must! It's kind of a simple card with minimal layers and colors. I wanted to focus on the flowers.

I stamped the large poppy in Gorgeous Grape ink and then used my aqua painter to add Grapefruit Groove ink. The aqua painter pulled in some of the Gorgeous Grape color and I love the effect it gives. The small flower was stamped in Lovely Lipstick and watercolored with So Saffron ink. The leaves were stamped in Coastal Cabana and colored with Soft Sea Foam ink. Isn't that fun!

I cut out a scalloped rectangle from Stitched So Sweetly dies. I told you these will be used quite a bit! On top of the scallop I splattered Pool Party ink from my Stampin' Up! Write markers. Also, if you notice under the sentiment I die cut the swirls from the Painted Labels dies.

Once I added everything to Whisper White thick cardstock, I added some sequins from the Woven Threads assortment.

I hope you enjoyed this floral card. I'll be back shortly with a cute Valentine shaker card!

Have a great day!

So Sentimental Poppies

Happy New Year!! I hope everyone is off to a wonderful start for 2020. I am hoping to kick off a craftier 2020. I seemed to be a a bit of a craft slump towards the end of 2019. As much as I wanted to make cards, I just couldn't seem to get motivated. I started a new job in August and then there was just the everyday busyness of work, school for the kids and kids activities. Plus my craft area is a bit of a disaster and needs tons of cleaning/organizing so I haven't wanted to tackle that in order to craft. It's still a mess but I have cleaned up enough so that I can play with items from the new 2020 Mini Catalog. You can start ordering from the new catalog today. There are lots of fun new products in the catalog. For today's card, I started with some of my favorite items.

I used the Peaceful Poppies DSP for the background of the card. The colors in these papers are gorgeous!! I used one of the more plain pieces in the package so I could show off the wonderful Poppy Moments Dies. The poppy was die cut with Petal Pink and Poppy Parade cardstock. If you look closely at the center of the flower, I added Wink of Stella to the black to make it pop. The leaves were die cut with Soft Sea Foam and Granny Apple Green cardstock.

Another new item you may notice is the super cute scallop rectangle. This is from the Stitched So Sweetly dies. They are great!! There are several different sized rectangle scallops which are just the right accent. The sentiment is from the So Sentimental stamp set. I can tell this bundle is going to get lots of use. Between the  rectangle dies and the great sentiments and fonts, you can't go wrong.

It feels good to get back into crafting. My goal for this year is to keep it up and not have such a long break.

Thanks for stopping by! Make sure to go and check out the new catalog. Click on the catalog links to the right. And if you need a paper copy in your hands, contact me and I will get one to you.

Have a great day!
