Chirp, chirp Happy Spring

Hello! I have a super cute card to share with you today. I used the adorable chick from Honeycomb Happiness to make a fun springy card. After the little bit of snow we had this morning, I am more than ready for spring to get here. For now, I'll just have to deal with this bright card. During my stamping get together last weekend we made swaps and this was the swap I made. I only had to make 4 of them so I figured I could make a card with quite a few details. I stamped the chick on shimmery paper and watercolored him with Daffodil Delight and Hello Honey. I have been on a watercolor kick lately and it's lots of fun and pretty relaxing. So I enjoyed coloring these 5 chicks. The DSP on the card is from Birthday Bouquet and the grass is the Cotton paper cut with the fringe scissors.

I hope you enjoyed this fun card and it brightened up your Friday!

Stamps: Honeycomb Happiness, Sky is the limit (clouds), Circle of Spring (spring word)
Ink: Archival black, Daffodil Delight, Hello Honey, Tip Top Taupe, Soft Sky, Tangerine Tango
Paper: Birthday Bouquet DSP, Shimmery White, Pink Pirouette, Mint Macaron, Paper Doilies, Cherry on Top Cotton paper
Accessories: Aquapainter, It's My Party enamel dots, fringe scissors, banner punch

Birthday Pink Blooms

Hello! I'm back! I have something fun and cute to share today. I told you I was a busy beaver crafting up a storm lately. Today's projects are some projects that I put together for a stamping get together I went to over the weekend. We were to each design a card and 3D project. The ladies in the group had outstanding projects. It was a fun day. The projects I designed used the Birthday Blooms stamp set and the Birthday Bouquet DSP. Love these 2 products. Of course it's not very hard for me to not like anything flower related. As usual I was going to pass on this set but I fell in love with it. The flower is so pretty. For the card, I stamped the flower on Watermelon Wonder paper and cut out the main image. Then I stamped the leaves on Mossy Meadow. I then cut out which leaves I wanted to add with the flower. I'm not sure if you can see it in the picture but I used the aquapainter to add some additional dimension to the flower and leaves. It wasn't as noticeable as I was hoping it would be. Oh well. Then I added the flower to the white oval. I punched out the sparkle-y banners with the Dazzling Diamonds paper. And then added all of this to the pretty DSP. The sentiment is from Sprinkles of Life and I used the Washi label punch on the ends.

My next project was the cute little baker's box. I used the Baker's Box thinlit which I just recently got on sale (thank you weekly deals). I cut out the box with Mint Macaron and stamped the flower in Mint all over the box. The tag also uses one of the other flowers from the set. I colored the flower with the aquapainter. Then I tied the box together with Pool Party glitter ribbon. Who does not love glitter ribbon?!?! This stuff is great! It ties so well. And considering it's blue ribbon, it goes fairly well with the mint box.

I hope you liked today's projects. Thanks for stopping by.

Baby Shower goodies

Hello! Is anyone out there?!? As usual, it's been a while since I could get here to blog. I've had a good reason, I've been up to my ears in crafting. So for you that means I have lots of stuff to share. This month I had 2 baby showers to go to where I made some decorations and invitations. To make up for my absence here, today's post will have lots of eye candy for you. My sister-in-law is having a baby at the end of March so I was asked to help with some of the decorations for her shower. I am so excited to have a new little nephew soon!!! Anyway, for her shower I made the invitations, a banner and diaper bouquets. Her shower theme was rustic winter wonderland and everything at her shower turned out great.

First I'll start out with her invitation. I ordered some digital files from Etsy and used My Digital Studio to design the invite. I still miss my digital studio. :( I would love if I could get some of the new things from the catalog in digital format. But it's not meant to be...so moving on! Once I designed it, I printed it out and then printed out extra penguins to cut out for some extra dimension. The invite was mounted on Island Indigo cardstock.

Next is the banner. I used a onesie die from Papertrey Ink to cut out the Island Indigo cardstock. Then I embossed some of the onesies with the Decorative dots embossing folder. I also cut out snowflakes with the Festive Flurry framelits. The onesies were hung up with mini clothespins on Smokey Slate chevron ribbon. (Miss this ribbon too!)

Then I made diaper bouquets as the centerpieces for the table. I had so much fun making these. Her colors were teal and gray so I wanted to have gray vases. I couldn't find anything that I liked so I decided to paint mason jars. I'm not sure if you can see in the group photo but I painted the jars in an ombre effect from a light gray to a dark gray. I sanded them to give them a rustic vibe. They came out way cuter than I was expecting! The jars were embellished with Island Indigo chevron ribbon and a sparkly snowflake. To make the bouquet, I rolled up diapers, inserted skewers into them and then added some green tissue paper at the bottom to make leaves. I also added crumbled green tissue paper in between the diapers to give the bouquet a little more color.

My final craft project was the card for the shower. Of course I had to incorporate the cute penguin in the card. I used the Made With Love set for the onesie and saying. The striped DSP is from the retired Birthday Bash (I think!?). Then I finished the card off with some white sequins. I LOVE putting sequins on all of my cards now!! :)

I hope you enjoyed today's post and all of my baby shower goodies! I just love making all of these things and I'm so glad when people think of me to help them with their party decorations.

I promise to be back soon with more cards to share. I've made quite a few in the past couple of weeks so now I just need to get my butt in gear and get them posted!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hello! Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! As usual it's been quite a while since I've made it over here. I have been working on a few crafty things but I just haven't found the time to blog about them. I actually haven't worked on any cards in a long time until the other day. So I will share that with you today. I have lots of new items that I'm itching to use! The other things I have been working on are baby shower invitations for my sister-in-law. I am working on some decorations for her shower as well so I will have a post on the invites and decorations. I also don't think I ever shared the invitations and decorations I did for my daughter's first birthday. Which was so long away at this time now but it will still be fun to share the stuff I did.

So have you guys been creating with the new Occasions and SAB goodies? Tell me what you think of it. There are a lot of fun things in these catalogs!

I used the Hello set from SAB. Keep in mind this is a limited time only set and is only available until February 15th. So get this cutie now while you can!!

Some other fun items to note are the Wink of Stella glitter used on "hello" and the Pool Party glitter ribbon. Who doesn't love GLITTER ribbon!! A plus is that this ribbon is nice and soft so it makes tying bows so easy!

I hope this inspired you to get crafty with the Occasions and SAB goodies. Want to get these awesome products plus free stuff for hosting your own party?!?!? Contact me now to set up a workshop. This is the best time of year to have your own workshop!

Howl-o-Ween Skull!

Hello! It's been a long time since I posted a card. I have no idea what happened but the summer just flew on by! In the blink of an eye it was gone. For much of July I was working on decorations for my daughter's first birthday in August (which I will share soon). How did that happen???? Then the party came and went. I had to travel for work and ended up getting stuck for an extra day and then the next thing I know it was time for our vacation at the end of the summer. So that is basically where my summer went and why there was not much crafting going on. But I do finally have a card to share today. There are lots of new goodies on here! The Holiday catalog is fabulous this year! There are so many things that I want but I tried to limit myself a little. I just had to get the Howl-o-Ween set because I loved that owl. Although my first card with the set doesn't use the owl. :) I think this card is just as cute too. How can you not love that skeleton face with the awesome black glimmer paper behind it! The framelits to cut out the face and bones make things so much easier. I love that there are so many coordinating bundles in the catalog. And then can we talk about that embossed background. I see so many uses for the Woodland textured embossing folder. It can be used all year long! And probably my most favorite items on the this card are the black glimmer paper and the spider web doily. I love all of the glimmer paper and the black is just fantastic!

I hope you enjoyed today's card. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the new catalog as well. What are your favorites? What are you interested in me showcasing on my blog! Let me know!

Have a great day!
