Holiday Card Class

Hi Everyone! I have a quick post for you today. I just returned from my beach vacation on Saturday and now I'm off to Indianapolis for work tomorrow so I'm short on time. Our vacation last week was so nice. We went with 2 other families so there were 5 kids under the age of 4, which made it interesting. Way more stressful than beach vacations when I was single but still so much fun. They loved the beach and the water as well as the boardwalk.
Now after all of the summery beach talk, I'm going to get right into Christmas. :) My next class is my Holiday Card class. This will be the first in a series of 3 classes. In each class you will make 6 cards (2 of each design). The goal is to have a large stack of cards ready to mail by December. The first series uses the super cute Cookie Cutter Christmas set. I just love these stamps!! And the cookie cutter punch makes these cards a breeze!

Date: September 30th 7pm
Location: My house, Frenchtown, NJ
Cost $20
RSVP: September 26th

Please contact me to sign up! (If this date doesn't work for you, please contact me and we can work on a date that fits better for you and your friends.

Kitty Birthday

Hello everyone! Today's card is a super cute card I made for my niece's 2nd birthday. My niece shares a birthday with me :) and is about 12 days younger than my daughter. It is so much fun to see them grow up together.

Here is a photo of the 3 of us.
(My daughter is in the middle).

Of course it's impossible to get them both to smile and stand still at the same time. And if I want any pictures of my daughter lately, I have to do them in selfie mode because she wants to see herself in the pictures all of the time, haha!!

So for the card, I wanted to use the Foxy Friends set to make a kitty card. My niece has a cat and we have cats so I've become a little cat obsessed lately. (Like I want all of the cat/kitten clothes for my daughter, haha!). And I wanted something cute and fun that she would like and I think I succeed. I think my favorite part is the pom pom trim around the oval or maybe all of the kitty faces in the background. The sequins on the card are from the new Holiday Catalog. Aren't they so pretty!

I hope you like today's card and if you have any questions on how I made it, please feel free to contact me.

Have a great day!

June Swap

Hello everyone!
For today’s post I’m sharing my swap that I did for June. Our theme was “summer”. I knew right away that I had to use the pineapple for these cards. Then I decide to do some water coloring in some colors that mean summer to me. The background was watercolored with Tempting Turquoise, a little bit of Bermuda Bay and some Dapper Denim. I did this all on shimmer paper. For the pineapple and leaves I stamped them and added a darker color to each of them and then I dapped my aqua painter on it to give it a water color effect before stamping it onto the paper. Then I cut out all of these pineapples!! Luckily it was only 6 of them I had to cut out. I stamped one of the sentiments from Thoughtful Banners onto Flirty Flamingo cardstock. The finishing touch is sequins (of course!) and a cute bow clip.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card!

Don't forget about Bonus Days!! For every $50 USD you spend between July 7 and July 31, you’ll get a $5 USD Bonus Days coupon that you can use between August 2–31, 2016. Contact me now to place your order!

Stamps: Pineapple, Thoughtful Banners
Ink: Tempting Turquoise, Bermuda Bay, Dapper Denim, Crushed Curry, Daffodil Delight, Cucumber Crush, Emerald Envy
Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Pool Party, Shimmer White
Accessories: Gold sequin trim, Bow clips, Aqua painter

Birthday Swap

Happy Monday! It's been a little quiet here on the blog the past week. That's because I've been super busy at home and work. We went to Atlantic City for a night for a quick getaway last Thursday. Then we had 2 birthday parties to attend this weekend. One was for one of my son's friends and the other was a 90th birthday party for my grandmother. 90 can you believe it! Our family got together at a local firehouse for some lunch. The kids had fun running around and they had an extra perk of checking out the fire trucks. My son loved it!

So my card today is a birthday card (not the one I sent to my grandmother, I sent her another one I already posted). Today's card is for a swap that I'm in with some local demos. Our theme for May was Father's Day or a masculine card. I went with a manly birthday card. I saw this layout on pinterest and thought it would work well for a guy card. You don't want to have too many frilly things on a guy card. :) I think my favorite part of this card is the paint splatters. I love this stamp from Gorgeous Grunge. I did have to do a bit of fussing cutting for this card (the candles and flames) but at least the candles are pretty easy to cut and I only had to do it for 5 cards. I also used some new in-colors on this card. I think the Dapper Denim and Emerald Envy look really nice together and look great with Smokey Slate.

I hope you like today's card. I am working on my swap for June and will have that to share in the next couple of weeks. I can't share it until all of the ladies receive it. :) But it's such a cute card, I can't wait to share it!

Thanks for stopping by!

Dino-rrific birthday!

Happy first day of summer! Looks like it's going to be a hot one here today. I will be jumping into the pool after work today to cool off. Today's card is a CASE of one of my cards I did in the past. See that post HERE. That was such a fun card to make that I thought I needed a girl version of it. I did a couple of tweeks to it by adding and embossing the bones on the dinosaurs, used different dinosaurs, embossed the background and added a strip of DSP at the bottom. I did use the retired starburst framelits again but you could definitely use the new circle layer framelits. Another thing to note is that I used the paint brush stamp from the extra set in April's Paper Pumpkin kit to add a little extra color to the sentiment banners.

This is a short post for today but I hope you enjoyed the card!

Stay cool!

Stamps: No Bones About It, April Paper Pumpkin extra stamp set
Paper: Bermuda Bay, Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper, Pop of Pink DSP

Accessories: Sequins, Large polka dot embossing folder, Starburst Framelits (retired), Circles framelits (retired), white embossing powder
